Daniel has been an entrepreneur since his uni days where he got MMU to invest in his first startup. After that, Daniel has been involved in various projects ranging from Rakan Muda and consulting a few companies in digital marketing before embarking in building his education portal. The company then pivoted to into an education tourism company where they facilitate middle eastern students to Malaysia.
After his exit, Daniel, set up various community entrepreneurs project in Malaysia such as Barcamp and StartupCamp to help to grow the startup and developer ecosystem in Malaysia. He then founded Entrepreneurs.my which became one of Malaysia’s leading resource for entrepreneurs around Malaysia. Recently, Entrepreneurs.my has been rebranded to NextUp.Asia to reflect its ever increasing readership from all around Asia.
Daniel is also the founding curator of TEDxKL and is one of the first 36 TEDx license holder around the world. He is instrumental in mentoring and helping to grow TEDx in Asia and is a recipient of grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. In 2013, Daniel was invited to present on City 2.0 using Kuala Lumpur as a case study in TEDGlobal in Edinburgh.
Daniel has also served as mentor and board of director of various entrepreneurs organisation around Malaysia and South East Asia. He also has been featured in various publication both online and offline, such as Financial Times, Forbes, Newsweek and TechCrunch.
